A free online module by Leicester Diabetes Centre & Primary Care Europe entitled "New Decade, New Therapies: Simplifying the complex" with Module 1 'Positioning GLP-1 RA agonist in the management of people with type 2 diabetes.' A e-certificate of completion is provided.
I love the overall summaries provided by the module as presented in the roundtable videos by experts of which the discussed materials is also provided. It does generate an interest in me to know more. Another point is that the table shows more inconsistency of GLP-RA effects on the studied outcomes than similarity, although a very exception is on the MACE. Overall, it is a balanced overview of an update of evidence in diabetes care especially for those in the primary care although the non-pharmacological approaches are just lightly mentioned.
The video may be too long for many impatient clinicians. The slides shown during the discussion are preferably stay longer for sufficient absorption and understanding of the topics discussed, and if possible pre-informed that the slide-material is available for download or to be opened together to aid better understanding. One particular point on the slide-material is the '25% box' obstructing information on some slides. The title of the module is marred by the repeated 'agonist' follows the GLP-RA.
